Are you looking for something to do this Friday night (Feb. 22nd for those of you that will be time traveling to the show) that will be way better than your usual plan of renting an obscure Korean horror film, eating two bags of pretzels, and downing a 6-pack of Fresca? Well then, you’re in luck because we happen to know of a kickass comedy show happening in sunny and homeless-friendly Santa Monica this Friday night at 8 pm at the Westside Eclectic Theater.
The Gimme A Minute show features several comics who you probably know and love from their work here on Whip It Out Comedy and they swear to us that the show will be awesome. Plus, we’ll be there ourselves so you know that it’s got to be a scene, man.
The lineup includes:
Renee Gauthier, who just got back from England where we’ve been told everybody loves her.
Mike Bridenstine, who also just got back from England where we’ve been told everybody thinks he’s embittered.
Mike O’Connell, who you know from the “classic” How’s It Gonna Be video.
Mike Holmes, who will probably teach you a history lesson.
Mike Burns, who will probably lead a roundtable discussion about beer and boobies.
Lizzy Cooperman, who will prove that having two Z’s in your name is not necessarily a handicap.
Ben Kronberg, who will surprise us (because we’ve never seen him before).
Robert Buscemi, who will probably wear a swanky hat.
Tickets are $10 and it’s BYOB. You basically can’t afford not to go. Still need convincing? Check out the highlights from a past show in the video above.
